MICRONEEDLING
-
Dr. Elsie Osei provides microneedling in Asheville. Micro needling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, is a minimally invasive skin procedure that helps minimize the signs of aging, improve the appearance of acne scars and rejuvenate aging skin.
We use SkinPen, an FDA approved medical grade device which works by creating controlled micro-channels in the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin, promoting the body’s natural healing process.
The collagen adds volume to the skin and the elastin helps return the skin to its original state with no scar formation.

Skin Remodeling
The micro-channels trigger the release of growth factors which lead to remodeling of collagen and elastin for skin repair. The procedure is safe for all skin types and effective on all body types (face, neck, décolletage).
In most patients, three to four treatments are usually required for the best results. For those with severe scarring, up to 6 treatments may be needed. For anti-aging routine, you can opt for 1-2 procedures a year for maintenance.
